Art Studio "Artishock"

We love to Shock with our Art!

"Artishock" teaches beginning, intermediate and advanced fine art drawing and painting techniques to children from ages 4-12, teens, and adults. Students are taught individually and work from their own program, taking into account personal interests and special needs. Students receive extensive instruction in the use of each painting medium, including color-mixing, painting techniques, and the proper use and care of materials.

The basic introductory format is composed of three essential components of visual art:
1. Form (shape)
2. Size (mass, scale)
3. Placement (relationships)

Multi-Media Drawing
Learn & develop drawing skills. Projects geared to the age & ability of each child. New projects illustrate each drawing skill. We'll integrate the principals of drawing & creativity through mixed media including colored pencils, markers, pastels, tempera, watercolors & acrylic paints.

Also students got introdused to basic of clay work and attanding Art History Class. Many other activities.

Curriculum

Artishock 1
Ages: 5-7
In this engaging class students draw favorite animals, characters, still life, and more while learning fundamental art elements: line, shape, texture, color, value and space.The class lessons are designed to guide students toward developing drawing and painting skills while encouraging personal expression and creativity. While many of the projects are guided, each student works with his or her own vision and produces a unique finished piece.

Artishock 2
Ages: 7-9
This class has the same structure as Draw & Paint I, but is geared for the older beginner. Students learn fundamental drawing and painting concepts as they build confidence in their skills. Media includes: chalk and oil pastel, tempera and acrylic paint.

Artishock 3
Ages: 10+
Students will use a variety of media including charcoal, color pencil, pastels, acrylic and watercolor. Perspective, Human Form, Portraiture, Animals, Still Life, Nature Studies and Master Artists are just some of the projects offered.
